A new SMSA Executive Board has been elected. Thank you to all of the previous e-board members for your time and dedication.
The SMSA took a group of members down to Orlando, Florida for the 2010 MLB Winter Meetings on December 4-9, 2010. The event was a great experience and several students received job offers. A special thank you to Prof. Achtzehn for accompanying the SMSA on the trip.
The Golf Tournament will be held on April 30, 2011 at Honey Run Golf Course. We are currently accepting golfers and sponsorships. If you are interested in either playing in the tournament or one of our sponsorship opportunities please contact either Emily Strupczewski (estrupcz@ycp.edu) or Zach Clabaugh (zclabaug@ycp.edu).
The 2nd Annual Alumni Networking Event is in need of a director. If you would like the chance to network with alumni, organize an event, and build your resume then please contact Erik Eitel (eeitel@ycp.edu) for more details!
The 2nd Annual Professional Panel and Charity Event: Big 3 was a huge success. A special thank you to all who helped out and made the event possible. Thank you to our panelists for taking the time out of their busy schedules to speak to the SMSA.
The 2010-2011 Spartan Cards will be available at the next meeting. Each member is asked to sell the Spartan Cards as a way to fundraise for the SMSA. Cash incentives are provided based on how many cards an individual sells. Please visit the Spartan Card page to find out how you can get involved and for more information about the cards.
The SMSA will be managing the Concession Stand again this season for all out door sporting events. If anyone would be interested in working a sporting event from the Concession stand please contact Emily Strupczewski (estrupcz@ycp.edu)
